Coach Haynes recap- Last night, the undefeated 7th Grade GBB team traveled to Red Oak for a rematch of their season opener against the Tigers.  The girls played some stout half court defense, containing the Tiger screen and drive attack on their way to a 15 point lead at half time.  The Rams had a solid second half, resulting in a 39-24 victory to improve to 6-0 on the season.  The leading scorer for the Rams was Jenna H. with 23, including 9 or 12 from the freethrow line.  Also scoring for the Rams were Ryley N. with 5 points (3 of 4 from the line), Molly W. with 6 points, Delaney H. with 3, Lauren S. with 2 points, and Hallee L. with 2 points.  Great defense was played during the game by the entire team, led by Hallee L and Jenna H.  In the B-game, the girls got out to an early 6-0 lead but ended up losing 8-14 against part of Red Oak's A-team.  Anna L. scored 4 points and Lauren S. and Cordelia G. each scored 2 points as the girls played some of their best offense of the year but just could not get enough shots to fall. The girls are back in action on Monday against the Creston Panthers.
