8th Grade Basketball Recap by Coach Berke

Coach Berke's Recap:

Monday night the 8th grade boys basketball team played a very talented Lewis Central team in their second game of the season.  The Rams kept it close through the first half of the game, but the Titans pulled away in the second half to win 49-28.  Leading scorer for the Rams was Brock Sell with 11 points.  A.J. Shiltz scored 5, Collin Lincoln scored 4, Jayme Fritts scored 3.  Also scoring were Jade Nanfito and Nolan Little, each with 2 points, and Tommy Johnson finished out the scoring with 1.

The 8th graders traveled to Shenandoah on Tuesday night to take on the Mustangs.  The Rams dominated from the get-go, scoring on their first 4 possessions and playing hard-nosed man-to-man defense.  A balanced scoring attack led to an easy win for Glenwood.  Final score of the game was 53-12.  Leading scorer for the Rams was Tommy Johnson, who netted 11 points including two early 3-pointers.  Also scoring were Collin Lincoln with 9, AJ Shiltz with 8, Brock Sell had 7, and Cameron Schutte had 6.  Other contributors were Jade Nanfito who had 5, Josh Hardcastle had 3, and Carter Kirsch and Nolan Little each added 2. Eighth grade Rams take their 1-2 record to Sidney this Friday afternoon.
