Recap from Coach Berke

The 8th Grade boys’ basketball team went into Thanksgiving break with a HUGE win over Lewis Central last Tuesday night.  They defeated the Titans by a score of 38-32, improving their record to 3-3.

The first quarter was close, but the Rams pulled away after that, thanks to tremendous hustle, great shot selection, and toughness on the boards.

Glenwood led by 10 at half, and by as many as 17 in the 4th quarter.  The Titans mounted an 11-0 run in the last minute of the game, but the Rams held on and won by 6.

Leading scorer for the game was Jayme Fritts with 9, followed closely by AJ Shiltz and Tommy Johnson who each had 7.  Brock Sell netted 6, Nolan Little had 4, Grant VonEssen drained a 3, and Collin Lincoln added 2 more.  Also worth noting is the fact that the team shot 70% from the free throw line.

The Rams play host to Shenandoah on Monday (@Aux Gym), and Red Oak on Tuesday, each with a 4:15 tipoff.
