Coach Joyner's recap from the 2017 Monarch Invitational

"I was really pleased with how things played out in Denison. We were able to attack the golf course early with the greens being soft with dew. As the morning went on the greens dried out making the conditions just a tad tougher." said Coach Joyner

"We ended up getting 2nd place, to Atlantic, shooting a team score of 317. This is 18 strokes better than at the same tournament last year. Ryan Leath and Zach Haggstrom shot a 76 which medaled 4th and 5th, respectively. Colton Book shot an 82 and Nick Stavas shot an 83 to round out our scores. Eli Bales and Kris Yakes both shot an 85 to finish out the team." said Coach Joyner

"We set three different school course records at Denison. Zach Haggstrom shot a -1, 35 on the front nine. The previous record was held by Adam Harding from 1997. Also the team set the record for both the front and back nine with a 157 on each. The previous records were 160 (front) set by the 1997 team and 165 (back) set by the 2016 team." said Coach Joyner

"We have a "normal" week ahead with duals @ Shenandoah on Tuesday and St. Albert (Fox Run) on Thursday! Only 4 matches left in the regular season!" said Coach Joyner
