Ram baseball and softball are peaking are the right time.
The baseball team is now 11-6 in the conference (3rd) and 14-9 overall. The boys have won seven straight games and look to continue their streak tonight vs. Thomas Jefferson. Junior Cole Loeffelbein is batting .500 currently and is on a hot streak. He recently batted for the cycle (single, double, triple, and home run). Mavrick Decker and Kolton Wilwerding are not far behind as they are batting .466 and .419. Glenwood now has 219 hits with 596 at bats on the season. That gives them a team average of .367.
The softball team is now 14-4 in the conference (2nd) and 19-11 overall. The girls swept Shenandoah last night to capture their 18th and 19th wins of the season. Sophomore Sara Ingoldsby is having a stand out year at the plate. Ingoldsby is batting .511 to lead all Rams. Senior Myranda Starner is second on the team with a batting average of .429. Lyndie Van Ness is the team leading pitcher with an ERA of 3.94. Her overall record sits at 7-4 on the season with 43 strike outs! Van Ness also leads the team in RBI's with 30.
