Last Thursday Glenwood Senior Noah Carter had the opportunity to compete at the NDSU Bison Football INDY Camp. North Dakota State has a terrific NCAA Division 1 Football Championship Subdivision program. The Bison have won fourteen national titles with their latest titles coming in 2011,12,13,14,15, and 17 all as DIV. 1 FCS. Noah Carter was Glenwood’s second leading rusher from a season ago with 987 yards. Carter averaged 6.2 yards per carry a season ago and scored twenty rushing touchdowns on the year.

The NDSU Bison Football INDY Camp started at 6:00 AM on Friday and ended at 11:00 AM on Sunday. Carter’s performance caught the eyes of NDSU’s coaching staff as Coach Courtney Messingham (Offensive Coordinator) and Coach Tyler Roehl (Assistant Football Coach Tight Ends/Fullbacks) gave Noah an Elite Camper Award.

I asked Noah how his trip up north went and here was his response:

“After about a seven hour trip up north (Fargo, North Dakota) I got there Thursday night.” said Noah Carter.

“The camp was truly a great learning experience as we spent a lot of time on drills and one-on-one competitions.” said Carter “I could tell I was getting some attention while I was competing (during the one-on-one drills).”

Carter’s interest in NDSU is “Very High”. He said, “Their program is truly a top of the line program and they really harp the meaning of FAMILY.”

Noah said, “He hoped he left a great impression on the NDSU staff not only for himself but for Glenwood as well.”

I can tell you from interviewing and talking with Noah over the years he did exactly that. Congrats Noah on earning the Elite Camper Award! Keep up the hard work and the process will play itself out.

GO RAMS!!
