The Rams finished 9th overall at the blue track in Des Moines. Glenwood finished with 33 total points at the state tournament. Glenwood finished the weekend with five events that would score team points (finish top 8). The highlight of the weekend was provided by the 800m Sprint Medley Relay Team. Joey Saddler, Matt Bowden, Mavrick Decker and Nate Kennedy brought home the State Title after winning the relay with a time of 1:33.68. Glenwood earned ten team points from this championship run (Glenwood’s first title since 1992 for a relay event).
Mavrick Decker sprinted towards a fifth place finish in the 200m dash to give his team four points. Decker ran the 200m in 22.88.
The 4x400 Relay Team of Kohen Watson, Seth Little, Mavrick Decker and Nate Kennedy finished in third. Glenwood would add six team points with their time of 3:23.85.
Glenwood’s 4x200 Team of Joey Saddler, Matt Bowden, Nate Kennedy and Mavrick Decker finished fourth with a time of 1:31.09. The Rams would pick up five team points with their finish.
Nate Kennedy finished second in the 400m losing to JoJo Frost from Center Point. Kennedy ran a blistering 49.33 in the race only losing to a future Iowa Hawkeye in Frost. Kennedy earned his team eight points with his second place finish.
Kennedy played a big role in Glenwood's 33 team points. Nate was apart of 29 team points, great weekend!

3rd - 4x400 Relay (Watson, Little, Decker and Kennedy) 6 pts.
4th - 4x200 Relay (Saddler, Bowden, Kennedy and Decker) 5 pts.
5th - 200m Mavrick Decker 4 pts.
