Glenwood boys basketball advanced to the second round of district play after their 64-36 win over Denison. Glenwood's defense held the Monarchs to sixteen total points in the second half. The Rams set the tone early by only giving up eight points in the first quarter. Glenwood didn't get off to the greatest start against the Monarch's zone defense as the Monarchs forced Glenwood to start their offense deeper than normal. Glenwood's guards found the open spots in the zone and Andrew Blum started hitting his midrange jumper to help the Rams pull away from the Monarchs. Andrew Blum was the player of the game after scoring nineteen points and playing a great game on the defensive side of the ball.
