Glenwood Advanced to Thursday After Win Over ADM

Tonight Glenwood defeated ADM 92-36 in front of their home crowd. The Rams advanced to the second round of Class 3A Substate Basketball which will be played on Thursday in Glenwood.

Glenwood once again had a fast start. The Rams scored thirty-one points in the first quarter to take a 31-9 lead over the Tigers. Junior Christian Stanislav scored ten points for the Rams in quarter number one. No basket got the Glenwood crowd more excited than Stanislavs’ two handed dunk!

Even with Nate Mohr and Andrew Blum picking up two and three fouls in the first half, Glenwood went into halftime with a 54-21 lead. Stanislav lead all scorers with sixteen points at halftime. Senior Nate Kennedy continued his hot streak from the three point range. Kennedy made three 3-pointers in the first half and finished the half with eleven points.

Glenwood’s starting five wouldn’t play much of the second half but the Rams would still score thirty-eight points. Freshman Ryan Blum finished with fourteen points off the bench to help the Rams win by fifty-six points.

The Rams shot well on the night. Five Rams finished with seven or more points on the night.

Next up for the Rams will be the Atlantic Trojans on Thursday night. The game will start at 7:00 PM and will be in Glenwood. Glenwood and Atlantic split games during the regular season.

Go Rams!
