Glenwood Basketball Wins Fourth Straight District Title

Glenwood’s defense stepped up big once again in their 68-53 win over the Carroll Tigers. Junior Nate Kennedy started off hot from the three point line as he knocked down his first three pointers in the first quarter. Glenwood’s defense held the Tigers offense to just eight points in the first quarter and won the first quarter 20-8. A big second quarter for the Tigers cut Glenwood’s lead heading into halftime to just four points, 33-29. Tough shots by Junior Nate Mohr and Sophomore Christian Stanislav helped Glenwood take the lead 51-41 heading into the fourth quarter. Glenwood finished out strong in the fourth quarter with good shots while making free throws down the stretch to grab their fourth straight district basketball title. Glenwood's win gives them a thirteen game win streak vs. opponents in Iowa heading into the sub-state match-up.
