Coach Faust Recap from Glenwood’s impressive win at Lewis Central:
Several individuals and relays ran season bests. Our team depth again showed. In a very competitive meet, the girls scored in every event except the SHR, which was DQ'd during a 2nd place run. In 7 of the 12 individual events, we had 2 girls place in the top 8 and score team points. Emma Hughes ran the 2nd fastest 1500 time in program history. She ranks 7th in 3A in the 1500 and 9th in the 3000 as of Tuesday night. As of Tuesday night, Audrey Arnold ranks 8th in Class 3A. Lauren Becker ranks 10th in 3A after her first ever 400 Hurdles race. Danielle Hardcastle's season's best jump of 5-2 ranks #9 in 3A. Sydney Biermann currently ranks 6th in the Shot Put 7th in the Discus, while Elle Scarborough ranks 3rd in the Discus in 3A. Abby McIntyre, Kate Kaufman, Danielle Hardcastle, and Emma Hughes rank 10th in 3A in the 4x8!While it's nice to win meets, and I'm very proud of this group's attitude, effort, and performance, we have to keep focus on the bigger goals at the end of the season.
