Glenwood at Shenandoah Double Header Recap

The #5 ranked Rams looked the part on Friday night. Glenwood traveled to Shenandoah and defeated the Mustangs 75-26.

A twenty-seven point quarter gave the Rams a huge lead 27-7 after the first quarter. Glenwood would go on to score 14,19 and 15 points in the following three quarters to reach 75. Defense was once again a major key in the Rams road victory. Glenwood’s defense held the Mustangs to shoot 9-31 (29%) from the floow. Christian Stanislav was the leading scorer with 16 points, Nate Mohr finished with 14 and Nate Kennedy finished with 10.


Glenwood is now 7-1 in the Hawkeye Ten and 13-1 overall. Tomorrow (1-23-18) the Rams will travel to Clarinda for a matchup in the H-10.


The 10-4 Shenandoah Fillies defeated Glenwood 57-40 on Friday night. After the first quarter the Rams were only down three points to the Filles. Glenwood would only score three points in the second quarter as the Rams saw themselves down 27-16 at halftime. Shenandoah would score thirty points in the second half to Glenwood’s 24 as the Fillies picked up their tenth win of the season. Freshman Elle Scarborough lead the way for Glenwood with 18 points. Brooklyn Taylor also scored in double figures with eleven.


The Rams are now 3-5 in the conference and 4-11 overall. Tuesday the Rams travel to Clarinda and will face the 3-12 Cardinals.
