Glenwood’s 285 pound wrestler Caleb Sanders has recently been ranked nationally by Intermat Wrestling. Sanders who is a Senior for the Glenwood Rams is ranked 14th nationally.

Caleb is off to a great start with his senior campaign. In his first tournament of the season, Sanders would win every match by Fall and was crowned champion of the Dan Hill Invitational. The following weekend Sanders would once again find himself on top of a podium. Caleb won the 2017 Council Bluffs Wrestling Classic after defeating John McConkey (Atlantic) 3-2 UTB who is currently ranked #12 nationally by intermat in the semifinals and Lee Herrington (Kearney, NE) 3-2 UTB in the finals. Sanders and McConkey would match-up once again at the Red Owens Holiday Tournament. This time #12 ranked McConkey would get the dec 3-2 over Sanders. Both Sanders and McConkey will see eachother down the road. With McConkey wrestling 2A and Sanders 3A it looks like the biggest match between the two will come down to the finals of the Hawkeye Ten Tournament.
