Lady Rams Fall to Denison, Pull Off Big Win Over Red Oak

Last week the Glenwood girls basketball team suffered its third loss of the season to a very good Denison team. The Lady Rams jumped out to an early lead, but could not hold on, as the Monarchs finished with four players in double figures on the night. Glenwood was led by the duo of Brielle Smith and Elle Scarborough, both of whom finished with 14 points on the night.

Following the loss to Denison, the Lady Rams turned right around and had to face another tough opponent, Red Oak. The Tigers boasted a 4-2 record coming into the game and was thought of as one of the best teams in the area. Glenwood played its best defensive game of the season, holding Red Oak to just 27% shooting from the field. The Lady Rams were led by freshman Madison Camden, who poured in 23 points off the bench. Camden is now averaging double figures, a rare sight for a freshman on the varsity level. Scarborough followed Camden with a solid performance of her own, scoring 15 points and racking up eight steals on the night.

The Lady Rams will travel to Clarinda to take on the 1-8 Cardinals in their final game before break.
