Glenwood girls basketball fell just short of pulling off a major upset in Hawkeye Ten Tuesday Night. The Lady Rams had Lewis Central on the ropes through the whole game, but in the end the Titans snuck out a 53-47 victory. Glenwood led through the entire first half, but Lewis Central found their rhythm in the third quarter, taking their first lead. The Titans never wavered, despite Glenwood's ability to keep it close down to the final whistle. The Lady Rams were led by Brielle Smith, who went 5-8 from the field and a perfect 3-3 at the free throw line. She finished with 13 points and four rebounds on the night. The only other Ram to reach double figures was Elle Scarborough, who recorded 10 points, five rebounds and two assists.

Following its loss to LC, Glenwood bounced back quickly with a 57-44 win over Hawkeye Ten foe St. Albert. The Lady Rams took an early lead and kept the Saintes at arms length for the rest of the way. Brooklyn Taylor made 5 of 6 shots from the field, finishing with 13 points, four rebounds and three blocks.

Glenwood will travel to Atlantic Tuesday night and will be back home for a varsity double header against Denison Friday.
