Ram 8th Grade Defeats Sidney

Coach Berke's Recap vs. Sidney- The boys 8th grade basketball team played the second game of their season when they hosted Sidney on Friday night at the Glenwood Middle School.

From the beginning, it was clear that Sidney was outmatched by the Rams, as Glenwood took a quick 13-point lead in the first quarter.  The Cowboys spurred ahead, and because of some lackluster defense by the Rams in the second quarter, they managed to pull within 8 points by halftime.  Score at the break was 27-19.

The Ram defense stepped up and the offense continued to dominate as Glenwood outscored Sidney 28-3 in the second half.  Final score of the game was Glenwood 55, Sidney 22.

Leading scorers for the Rams were Kaydon Good with 14 points and Ben Hughes with 12.  Also adding to the point total were Silas Bales with 9, Henry Carson with 8, Ryan Blum with 6, Draden Melgoza with 4 and Houston Stephens added 2.

Leading rebounder was Ryan Blum who pulled down 5, and also managed three blocked shots.
