Ram Baseball Goes 2-2 Last Week with Big Week Approaching

The Rams are now 2-8-1 on the season. Last week Glenwood won back to back games over Clarinda (12-2) and Shenandoah (9-3). The Rams followed up their two wins with back to back losses against Bishop Heelan (0-21) and Lewis Central (1-11).

 

Against Clarinda the Rams scored twelve runs off eight hits. Josh Ruth, Eli Bales and Kaden Wray each recorded two hits on the win over the Cardinals. Junior Michael Radford recorded the win after five innings on the mound. Radford only gave up four hits on 92 pitches.

 

Glenwood picked up their second win of the season against the Shenandoah Mustangs. Eli Bales lead the team at the plate by going 3-4 and scoring three runs. Pierce Harrington picked up the win for Glenwood after allowing seven hits in five innings.

 

The Rams would only record two hits total against Bishop Heelan (0)  and Lewis Central (2).

 

So far this season the Rams have only scored five runs or more in two of their eleven games. The Rams will need to get their bats going this week as they take on Creston, Harlan (1st in conference) and St. Albert (2nd in conference).
