Ram Football 2016 Awards and Record Breakers

Coach Faust sent me some great end of the season informaiton on the 2016 Glenwood Ram Football Season. Below I will give you the Glenwood Ram Team Awards and a list of records that were broke this season in football.

 

Team Awards

Slugger of the Year:​ Andrew Blum Presented to the player whose contact orientation has gained respect from his teammates.  The selection is made by the vote of the team.
 
Oil Can Award:​
Josh Ruth Presented to the non-starting player who contributed most to the team as selected by the vote of the team.
 
The Ram Pride Award:​ Jake Clark Presented to the player who has brought honor to GHS with his sportsmanship and play while displaying outstanding dedication to the Glenwood football team by their effort, enthusiasm, and unselfishness.
 
Work Ethic Award:​ Nate Nebel Presented to the player recognized for superlative work ethic and dedication both before and during the season as selected by vote of the team.
 
Lineman of the Year:​ Mitch Stanley and Caleb Sanders Presented to the player recognized as the outstanding offensive or defensive lineman of the year as selected by the team.
 
Scout Team Player of the Year:​ Tanner Teegarden, Austin Clark, and Dillon Mangiamele Presented to the player who made outstanding contributions to the team with their efforts on the scout teams during practice.
 
The Keefer Varsity Football Player Award:​ Kolten Wilwerding A Senior varsity football player who has exhibited the qualities and behavior befitting a sportsman – defeat without complaint, victory without gloating.  A young man who treats his teammates with fairness and sparks enthusiasm in the sport in which he himself demonstrated better than average ability.  These characteristics and his leadership will also be found in his daily contact with students and faculty. 
 
Most Valuable Offensive Player:​ Mavrick Decker, Kolten Wilwerding, and Cole Loeffelbein Presented to the player who made the greatest contribution to the team’s offensive success as selected by the vote of the team.
 
Most Valuable Defensive Player:​ Jon Stavas Presented to the player who made the greatest contribution to the team’s defensive success as selected by the vote of the team.
 
Most Valuable Special Teams Player:​
Seth Little Presented to the player who made the greatest contribution to the team’s special team success as selected by the vote of the team.
