Rams Look to Build Off Win Over Harlan

Kevin Tucker's picture

After losing two games in a row ( Carroll Kuemper, Atlantic) the Rams bounced back and won two straight. The Rams picked up two conference road wins over St. Albert 75-62 and Harlan 63-60. Glenwood is looking to build momentum off of their two road wins and it starts tonight back at home. Tonight Glenwood will host Red Oak in a girl/boy double header. The Tigers of Red Oak come to town with a record of 2-10 overall and 0-6 in the conference.

The schedule ahead looks very favorable for Glenwood. Games vs. Red Oak, Denison, Shenandoah, Clarinda, and Creston are all teams who currently have losing records and haven't won more than two games in the conference. I think these games will come at a perfect time in the season for the young Rams to gain confidence heading into February.

Glenwood Record Before Red Oak (4-3 conference) (7-4 overall)

1/17 home vs.  2-10 Red Oak (conference game)

1/19 at 4-6 Denison (conference game)

1/20 at 4-7 Shenandoah (non-conference game)

1/24 home vs. 2-9 Clarinda (conference game)

1/27 home vs. 10-2 Skutt Catholic (ranked 11th in the state of Nebraska)

1/31 at 5-7 Creston (non-conference game)

Prediction of Glenwood Record Heading into February

7-3 conference 12-5 overall

Good luck tonight to both the girls and boys! Beat Red Oak!
