Glenwood looked great against Shenandoah on Tuesday night. Thirteen Rams would score in Glenwood’s 94-34 win over the Mustangs.
The Rams set up in their full court pressure and baskets starting pouring in. Glenwood did a great job creating turnovers in the first quarter to take the lead 30-9. The second quarter mirrored the first as Glenwood would score 27 to Shenandoah’s 8. Glenwood would rest their starters for the majority of the second half but the Rams did not slow down scoring 19 and 18 in the remaining quarters.
Blink and you might miss the spotlight player of the game. Sophomore Zach Carr once again showed off his quickness on a night where he shot 9-10 from the floor and scored a game high twenty points. Carr’s minutes have been increasing lately and his play is showing why.
Senior Nate Mohr filled the stat line as well on Tuesday night. Mohr scored 15 points on 6-8 shooting. Nate was great again on the defensive side of the ball by earning five steals for the Rams.
Glenwood is now 17-2 on the season with two regular season games remaining. Friday will be Glenwood’s last regular season home game. The Rams will host Denison on Senior Night. Glenwood will then travel to Lewis Central on February 13th to finish out their regular season.
If Glenwood continues to play together and keep up their defensive effort, this team will be hard to beat.
