Rams Start Off 2018 with Two Wins

Glenwood basketball was back in action last night as the Rams hosted the Cardinals of Clarinda. The girls welcomed back Freshman Elle Scarborough from injury and the Freshman dropped twenty-one points. Behind Scarborough's twenty-one and Nikki Schuppan’s twenty points the Rams defeated the Cardinals 82-36. Glenwood came out on fire and scored twenty-five first quarter points to jump out to an fourteen point lead. The offense ran on all cylinders last night and the Rams would follow up with 24, 23 and 10 point quarters to get the win over Clarinda.

The long break didn’t cool off the Glenwood Boys team. Glenwood picked up their eighth straight win by defeating Clarinda 79-23 at home. Ryan Blum lead all scorers for Glenwood with fifteen points. Christian Stanislav gave the crowd two highlight dunks to bring in the new year along with his thirteen points. Next up for the 8-0 Rams will be the 6-2 Carroll Kuemper Knights who are coming off a tough loss against St. Albert.
