A 15-5 Denison Lady Monarch team came to town last night and was battled until the last few seconds. The Lady Monarchs held off Glenwood to win 43-41. Glenwood played one of their best games of the season and the girls should be proud. The Rams had the lead at halftime 21-14. A fourteen point quarter for the Monarchs helped them get back into the game and both teams were tied at 28 heading to the fourth. Both teams would shoot well in the fourth but the Monarchs came out victorious. Nicole Schuppan was the leading scorer for Glenwood with 12.

After a slow first half, Glenwood came out hot in the third quarter to help them pull away from Denison and get the win 66-47. Denison controlled the boards in the first half yet Glenwood still led 31-20. The third quarter brought quick and easy baskets for the Rams to help them extend their lead. The Rams once again had balanced scoring in their win. Sophomore Christian Stanislav was the leading scorer with 16 points. Nate Mohr scored 14 while Cody Buresh and Andrew Blum each added 13 a piece. Next up for the Rams will be Lewis Central.
