
Saturday the boys and girls cross country teams competed at the Iowa Cross Country State Championships. The championships for Class 3A were held at Lakeside Golf Course in Fort Dodge, Iowa. Dubuque Wahlert placed first in the girls division with 72 team points and Gilbert placed first in the boys division with 75 team points.
Adrianna Katcher from Center Point-Urbana took home first place individually with a time of 18:23.5 in the girls division. Senior Myles Back from Center Point-Urbana finished first place in the boys division with a time of 15:49.1.
The girls finished fourteenth overall with 294 team points. Glenwood averaged a time of 20:51.3 at the state championship. Ram Senior Kate Kaufman was the top finisher for Glenwood. Kaufman finished 41st with a time of 19:53.4.
Individual finishes for the Rams goes the following: 41st Kate Kaufman, 52nd Aubrey McIntyre, 65th Lacey Jackson, 66th Katelyn Malcom, 70th Erin Schultz, 74th Abi Schultz and 85th Lexi Hankins.
The boys sent two Juniors to the state meet (Parson Covington and Mason Parks). The Rams finished 83rd and 84th out of 129 participants. Covington finished 83rd with a time of 17:36.8 while Parks finished 84th with a time of 17:36.9.
