Glenwood has never made it to the Girls Tennis Team State until this season. Coach Ohm and her team of Ellie Osterloh, Brooklyn Taylor, Ruby Crow, Erin Stanley, Brielle Smith and Sierra Stouder finished their season with a record of 13-2 overall and a trip to State Quarterfinals (final 8). After defeating Webster City 5-0, Carroll Kuemper 5-2 and Clarke 5-1 in the first three rounds of team regionals, the girls were defeated by Waverly-Shell Rock 0-5. Congratulations on a fantastic season! This team will be one of the top returning teams in the state next season. Glenwood will return their top seven girls (everyone mentioned above plus Cameron Rounds their #7) and will look to make a deep run in the team regionals once again.

“Brooklyn Taylor wasn't able to finish her match due to WS reaching five points.  She had lost the first set in a tie break and was up on the second set 4-3.” said Coach Ohm

“I am very proud of these girls.  Getting to the state tournament in a huge accomplishment that they should be proud of.  Everyone is back for next season so I am already looking forward to it.” said Coach Ohm

Glenwood is not finished yet as they still have three girls (Ellie Osterloh, Brooklyn Taylor and Erin Stanley) who qualified for individual state. Glenwood will travel to the Hawkeye Tennis and Recreation Complex in Iowa City on June 1st.
