Ram XC Takes 2nd at A.L. Invite

Saturday the cross country traveled to Council Bluffs and competed in the A.L. Invite. The Rams finished second at the invite with 81 points. Denison won the invite with 70 points. Glenwood's Aubrey McIntyre finished second and was the Ram's highest finisher for the second meet in a row. McIntyre finished with a time of 19:57.81. The boys cross country team finished third place with 86 points. Parson Covington finished fifth and was the Ram's highest finisher for the second straight meet. Sam McIntyre also finished in the top ten taking tenth.

Tonight the Glenwood rams defeated Thomas Jefferson 40-6. The Rams and the Yellow Jackets were tied after the first quarter but after that is was all Glenwood.

Former Ram QB Scores In First Game

Former Ram QB Corey Bertini played his first snaps for Missouri Western State last night and Bertini did not disappoint. Bertini now a 6-4, 230 pound quarterback transferred this offseason from Iowa Central to Missouri Western State. Last night Bertini saw his first action at the new school and found his way into the end zone.  Bertini found the end zone in the second quarter vs. Nebraska-Kearney on a eight yard run to put his team up 16-7. Missouri Western State would go on and win the game 44-21 over Kearney.

Way to go Corey, keep it up!

Ram Volleyball Sweeps Atlantic

Last night the Rams swept the Trojans at their home opener 3-0. The girls fought hard after trailing in both the first and second sets. The third set was all Glenwood as they won easily. Rams won 25-23, 25-21, and 25-12 over the 3-4 Atlantic Trojans. Sierra Stouder lead the team in kills with 25. Tara Maxwell was second in kills with 22. Sierra Stouder and Tara Maxwell lead the team in digs with 13 and 11. Next up for the Rams will be Tuesday vs. Red Oak.

Cyclone Invitational Results

Saturday the Ram volleyball team traveled to Harlan and played in the Cyclone Invitational. In their first match the Rams played Abraham Lincoln and was defeated 16-21, 21-15, and 15-4. The Rams then went on to beat Logan Magnolia 8-21,21-19, and 15-7. After the re-pool the Rams lost back to back matches vs. Treynor and Harlan. Glenwood would then drop down to the bronze pool and was defeated by Underwood and Logan-Magnolia in straight sets.
