Proud of these girlies tonight. We worked to fix stuff after an LC win and we did!! They love this sport and we just keep improving. The Atlantic coach said that our A, B and C were the toughest teams they have faced and Glenwood had some of the best sportsmanship. It isn't always about winning, it's about teamwork and pride.

Last night, the 7th graders played their 3rd match of the week.  The A & B teams won their second match and the C team lost a close one. The A team was led by Abby H and Madison C on the service line.  Madison C went 12 for 12 w/8 aces.  Abby H went 13 for 14 w/5 aces.  Madison B also had a great night serving but really shined in serve receive.  The girls won 25-15, 25-12, & 15-8. The B team won 25-13, 25-10, and 15-3.  Lacee M was fantastic on the service line.  She went 29 for 30 w/6 aces.  Sara L also stepped up her game with passing and finished with 3 aces.

Rams Make Great Comeback at Denison

Yesterday the Rams traveled up to Denison for a battle in the Hawkeye Ten Conference. Denison jumped on the Rams early as the won the first two sets 25-17 and 26-24. The Rams were up 20-12 in the second set before the Monarchs came back to pick up the second set. Glenwood saw themselves in a two game hole in a best of five series but never doubted themselves. The Rams came back and won the next three sets showing great composer and teamwork! Glenwood is now 3-1 in the conference.

Glenwood 7th Grade Volleyball Defeats Lewis Central

The 7th grade volleyball team bounced back from Monday's losses to win 8 out of 9 sets.  The A team won the first set 25-16, and dominated the next two sets 25-5 and 25-5.  In the second game Kennedy J. served 14 in a row and finished the night 17 for 19 with 9 aces.  Abby H. also did an amazing job on the service line going 15-15.  Madison C. and Lauren R. had many great sets which led Brynlee A. to have 12 kills.

Ram Cross Country Sweeps the Creston Invite

Last night Glenwood's Cross Country teams traveled for the Creston Invite. The long journey did not disappoint as both the boys and girls cross country teams took home the victory. The girls finished with 40 points and placed four runners in the top ten. The best being Aubrey McIntyre who finished third with a time of 21:55. Glenwood's boys team finished first with 63 points. The Rams placed three in the top ten with the best going to Parson Covington who finished fourth overall.

7th Grade Volleyball Recap vs. Red Oak

Coach Ohm's recap-

The 7th grade VB team played their first match last night at home vs. Red Oak.  The A team started off slow but picked it up and only lost their first game by 3 points.  They came back strong in game 2 and dominated the Tigers 25-11.  Lauren R. was the star server in game two serving 18 in a row.  The Rams lost the third game 11-15.  Kennedy J. was strong at the net and finished the night with 10 kills.  

JV Volleyball Wins Third Straight Championship

Last night the Glenwood JV Volleyball team traveled to Treynor for the Cardinal Invite. The Rams won the tournament making the Cardinal Invite one of three straight tournament wins on the season.

Cole Loeffelbein was awarded the Athlete of the Week with his performance against Harlan. Loeffelbein rushed for 265 yards on 33 carries and scored three touchdowns. Loeffelbein's longest touchdown was 57 yards!
