Last night the girls basketball team played their home opener. Glenwood hosted Thomas Jefferson to kick off the winter sports season in Glenwood. The young Rams fell 56-39. The girls played a tough game but the Yellow Jackets were too much in the fourth quarter and pulled away from the Rams. This is a young team and the girls showed great progress through out the game. Keep it up ladies, go Rams!

Kevin Tucker's picture

Coach Berke's Recap- Tough defense and patience on offense was the key to last night’s victory in Harlan by the 8th grade boys.  In a back and forth battle, the Rams came out on top, 50-41.  Due to a situation beyond our control, there are no official scoring stats available.  All of the boys played hard and the coaching staff is very proud and excited with the victory.

Coach Berke's Recap vs. Sidney- The boys 8th grade basketball team played the second game of their season when they hosted Sidney on Friday night at the Glenwood Middle School.

From the beginning, it was clear that Sidney was outmatched by the Rams, as Glenwood took a quick 13-point lead in the first quarter.  The Cowboys spurred ahead, and because of some lackluster defense by the Rams in the second quarter, they managed to pull within 8 points by halftime.  Score at the break was 27-19.
