Ed Winger Classic Will Have Tough Competition For Rams

The Ed Winger Classic begins tomorrow at nine in the morning located in Urbandale. The tournament will consist of six ranked teams in 3A along with 61 individuals who are ranked in the state of Iowa.  You can watch this tournament live on TrackWrestling for $9.99 (they won't provide archives).

Ram Wrestling Splits with Trojans and Cardinals

A late comeback for Atlantic lifted the Trojans over the Rams 42-30. The Class 2A 4th ranked team won the battle of the two top notch programs in the Hawkeye Ten. Glenwood would bounce back and defeat Clarinda 58-22 in their second match of the night.

Tonight the girls basketball team lost to Red Oak 33-57 at home. The Tigers got off to a 14-6 lead on Glenwood and played consistent the entire game. Lewis was the leading scorer for Glenwood with 7 points.

Tonight the Rams continued their win streak to three games after defeating Red Oak 83-63. Christian Stanislav was the player of the game with 22 points. Nate Mohr and Andrew Blum scored 18 and 17 on the night as well. Glenwood looked impressive from the start with their great defensive pressure and ball movement. At halftime the Rams led 40-23 on the Tigers and continued to be hot with a 23 point third quarter.

Saturday Glenwood Wrestling had a terrific wrestling day. The Rams wrestled tough and five wrestlers were crowned champions. Nine Rams finished in the top 5!

Rams Look to Build Off Win Over Harlan

After losing two games in a row ( Carroll Kuemper, Atlantic) the Rams bounced back and won two straight. The Rams picked up two conference road wins over St. Albert 75-62 and Harlan 63-60. Glenwood is looking to build momentum off of their two road wins and it starts tonight back at home. Tonight Glenwood will host Red Oak in a girl/boy double header. The Tigers of Red Oak come to town with a record of 2-10 overall and 0-6 in the conference.
