Three Rams earned All-Conference. Senior Blake Von Essen was awarded first team. Senior Jordan Renshaw was elected to the second team and sophomore John Palmer earned Honorable Mention. Congrats Rams!

Rams Off to Great Start with Five Conference Wins

The Glenwood Softball Team is currently 6-0 on the season. Glenwood has recorded five of their six wins in the conference column. The Rams have only allowed four runs in six games while scoring 57 (pretty impressive).

Tonight the Rams will host Clarinda for a conference game. Clarinda is currently 1-5 on the season.

State Final Four Girls Tennis Preview

Today the girls tennis team took off for the final four of team state. The Final Four is located in Waterloo, Iowa at Byrnes Park. The teams with play their first round duals at 9:00 AM at Byrnes Park. The finals and third place match will be played later that day at 12:00. Glenwood qualified for the final four along with Waterloo Columbus Catholic, Cedar Rapids Xavier and Pella.

Kennedy Strikes Gold Once Again, Day One State Track Results for Glenwood

For the second time in three months Glenwood Senior Nate Kennedy has been crowned a state champion! Back on March 9th Nate was a starter on Glenwood’s Class 3A State Championship Basketball Team, fast forward to May 17th and Mr. Kennedy once again earned himself a state championship.

 

Book Qualifies as ADM Edges Out Glenwood Team

Friday the Glenwood Boys Golf Team traveled to Majestic Hills in Denison 3A Sectional Competition. Senior Colton Book qualified to sectionals with a score of 77. Glenwood’s team will not move on to sectionals as only the top two teams move on. The two teams that qualified for districts at Atlantic Golf and Country Club was Atlantic (309) and ADM (323).

Medalist: 68 Ben Renaud (Atlantic)

Runner-Up: 73 Elijah Block (Greene County)

Coach Benson’s Recap:

We controlled the game early on and had lots of chances on goal.  We were able to capitalize in the 10th minute off a goal from Mia McCorkle.  We continued to control the first half with Mia McCorkle putting in 2 more goals and Kelly Embray scoring one before half.
