Girls Track Crowned Champs at LC Co-Ed Boys Get 3rd

Girls and Boys track traveled to Council Bluffs for the Lewis Central Co-Ed Track Invite. The girls finished first place with 168 points. Council Bluffs Abraham Lincoln finished second with 109. The boys finished third place with 77 points. Lewis Central won the meet with 113 and Atlantic finished second with 101.5.

Middle School Track Results from Clarinda

The 7th grade girls won the Clarinda Middle School Invite. The girls scored 193 total points. Lewis Central scored 119 to finish in second place. Glenwood would win ten events at the meet. Elle Scarborough was outstanding at the meet. Scarborough won two individual events, the 100m (14.33) and Discus (82-10). Lauren Becker won the 100m hurdles with a time of 18.64. Abby McIntyre won the 1500 with a time of 5:39.11. Marissa Ausdemore won the 200m hurdles with a time of 34.17. Jaylin Woodward won the long jump with a jump of 13-10.00.

Girls Tennis Bounces Back, Defeats Harlan

After a close loss on Monday the girls tennis team bounced back with a great road win vs. the Cyclones. The Rams defeated the Cyclones 8-1. Junior Abby Osterloh picked up a great win at the number one position beating Senior Jessica DuVal 9-8 (7-4). "(Abby) Osterloh led DuVal 5-4 but then DuVal got the next two games to go up 6-5. DuVal would keep the lead until Osterloh tied it up at 8-8. Osterloh would win the tie breaker 7-4." said Coach Ohm. The girls are now 5-1 overall.

Ram Tennis Sweeps the Cyclones

A perfect day for tennis ended with almost a perfect night for the Rams. Glenwood hosted Harlan yesterday in a tennis match. The boys defeated the Cyclones 9-0. Ram Tennis is now 5-0 on the season with two more matches this week. (at T.J. Thursday and home vs. Red Oak Friday) Alex Checkal, Aaron Bertini, Adam Konfrst, and Ethan Thompson all continued their undefeated singles streaks. The doubles team of Aaron Bertini and Adam Konfrst continued their undefeated streak to 5-0.

Ram Golf Goes Low at Home

Last night the Rams defeated the Cyclones at home by scoring 144 to Harlan's 159. Senior Kobe Rhodes shot a 32 while Freshman Ryan Leath shot a 35.

"The Glenwood Boy's Golf team played Harlan in a conference match on Tuesday in Glenwood. Glenwood was paced by Kobe Rhodes' 3 under 32 and Ryan Leath's even par 35 to best Harlan 144-159. Harlan was led by Kevin Campbell and Jay Swanson each golfing a 3 over 38."

Frazee was Key in Third Conference Win for Ram Soccer

Ram soccer picked up their third conference win tonight vs. Atlantic. Atlantic scored first to put the Rams down 0-1 before Glenwood would come back and win 3-1. Goals by Ben Frazee (15th and 26th minutes) and Andy Staiert helped the Rams take the victory. Both Conrad Millar and Andy Staiert recorded assists in the game. Ben Frazee was awarded the player of the game.

Red Oak's Doubles Help Defeat Girls Tennis

This afternoon the girls tennis team played indoors due to the rain at Red Oak. The Tigers would give the Rams their first loss of the season 3-6. After singles, Glenwood and Red Oak were tied 3-3. In doubles play is where the Tigers would close up their victory winning all three matches. The Rams are now 4-1 on the season.

Girls Soccer Wins in Shootout

Tonight the girls faced Treynor in a tough match-up. The Rams won 1-0 over Treynor in a shootout. Glenwood had a 22 shots with 14 of them on goal. Ram goal keeper Rileigh Spahn had 13 saves on the night.
