#3 Doubles Match Helps Lady Ram Tennis Start 3-0

Last night the girls tennis team hosted Lewis Central for a Hawkeye 10 match up. The girls defeated the Titans 5-4 in a close tennis match. Ruby Crow and Sierra Stouder's double match closed it out for the Rams. They won 8-5 in the number three doubles.  The girls are now 3-0 on the season and will travel tonight to take on the Trojans of Atlantic. Good luck ladies and keep up the hard work!

Boys Tennis Gets Second Win with Another Shut Out

Last night the boys tennis team traveled to Corning, Iowa and took on Southwest Valley. The Rams won 9-0 getting their second shut out in a row. The Rams are now 2-0 on the season and 18-0 in total games played. Glenwood will go on the road again Monday at Lewis Central before having their home opener Tuesday vs. Atlantic.

Frazee's Hat Trick Helps Rams Beat TJ

Last night the Ram soccer team faced Thomas Jefferson. Glenwood would win the match 6-0 against the Yellow Jackets. Ben Frazee was the star of the game by scoring three goals. Andy Staiert, Conrad Millar, and Fernando Gonzalez also scored goals for the Rams. Goalie Connor Weis was great in goal all night.

Girls Track Runs Away with Lady Tiger Relays

Last night the girls track team traveled to Red Oak for the Lady Tiger Relays. The Rams won with a team score of 177 total points. Creston finshed second with 148 and Shenandoah fished third with 88.

Ram Tennis Defeats Denison on the Road

Tonight the Rams went on the road and took on the Monarchs of Denison in boys tennis. The Rams started off hot winning all six of the singles matches. In doubles the Rams would defeat the Monarchs 3-0. They will face Corning on Thursday.

Rams Finish Second at Ram Relays

Monday night the Rams hosted the Ram Relays which consisted of nine teams. Lewis Central won the meet with a score of 144 team points. Glenwood finished second with 134 points.

1st and 2nd Place finishers for the Rams were

1st place for Nate Kennedy in the 400M with a time of 52.72 (Caleb Peterson finished second with a time of 52.97)

2nd place for Carter Von Essen in the 400 hurdles with a time of 56.95

2nd place for Andrew Blum in the 800m with a time of 2:08.71

Danika Lucy played in the IGCA Senior All Star 4A/5A game over the weekend. The game was played at Kirkwood. Danika scored six points and her team on the game 76-60. Way to go Danika!

 

Former Ram Derek Jones and current Iowa State Cyclones had another great weekend. Derek finished third place in the 400 hurdles at Stanford. He would later win the 400 hurdles at San Fransisco on Saturday. Congrats Derek, way to go!
