Ram Baseball Picking Up Momentum

Over the weekend Glenwood defeated Red Oak 10-0, 10-3 after falling to Atlantic 2-1 and Sioux City East 10-5. The Rams have been playing well as of late. Glenwood has now won five out of their last seven games. This week the baseball team will once again have a big week. Glenwood has five games on the schedule.

 

Rams Sweep the Panthers on the Road

Last night the Glenwood Softball and Baseball Teams traveled to Creston for a couple Hawkeye Ten battles. The baseball team won 18-9 over Creston while the softball team won 8-7.

The softball team on 8-7 on fifteen hits. Sydney Biermann pitched a complete game for the Rams. Biermann struckout seven batters on the night. Haylle Sell and Erin Stanley each had great nights at the plate. Sell batted 4-4 while Stanley went 3-3 at the plate. The Rams are now 11-1 on the season and 8-1 in the conference.

Ram Baseball Ends Season at 19-13

Glenwood lost to Denison 2-1 on Friday to end their season at 19-13 overall. The Monarch’s scored two runs in the sixth inning to knock off the Rams on the road. Glenwood recorded six hits on the night but only scored one run in the top of the seventh.

Rams End Regular Season with Win Over North

Last night the Rams ended their baseball regular season with a 8-7 win over Sioux City North. Senior AJ Slaughter received the win for Glenwood. Sophomore Colton Schutte went 2-4 from the plate. Schutte hit one homerun while driving in four RBIs on the night. The Rams scored their eight runs on ten hits.  

 

The Rams finished 19-12 overall and will now move onto post season play. Glenwood will host Denison on Friday for the first round of regionals.
