Every team in the state of Iowa strives to make a postseason appearance. However, only 16 teams are selected to compete for a state title at the end of the season. For the third year in a row, the Glenwood Rams (8-1, 6-1) earned a playoff bid after securing the runner-up spot in Class 3A District 7. Having won five straight games in blowout fashion, Glenwood’s momentum is at a season high as they prepare for a first-round showdown with fourth-ranked Sergeant Bluff-Luton (9-0, 7-0) Friday night.

The Glenwood Rams (8-1, 6-1) finished off the season with a 42-20 blowout of the ADM Tigers (1-8, 0-7) on senior night. Glenwood played classic Ram football, pounding the ball on the ground and bashing the Tigers for 384 total rushing yards.

This win marks Glenwood’s fifth blowout victory in a row to close out the regular season, giving them all the momentum in the world headed into the playoffs. Head Coach Cory Faust was happy with his team’s performance, but stressed that there were things on which the Rams can improve.

The final week of the 2017 regular season is upon us. Man does time fly or what? The Glenwood Rams have already punched their ticket to the postseason as the district runner-up, while Harlan claimed the crown with a victory over Denison last Friday. As for tomorrow night, most of these games really don't mean much in the long run. However, there are a few decent matchups. Here is what's on the slate for District 7's regular season finale:
