Athlete Of the Week

Kevin Tucker's picture

This week I awarded the Athlete of the week to the Glenwood Offensive Line. The Rams O-line has blocked well all season long and they continue to open up huge holes for the Ram running attack. Glenwood has rushed for 1,258 yards in five games behind this powerful offensive line. The Ram running game is running for 6.5 yards per carry off 195 rushing attempts. The Rams have put up a total of 1,979 total yards this season.

Keep up the hard work boys! Your toughness is paying off. GO RAMS!

Glenwood @ Harlan Preview

Forty five out of the last forty six games Harlan has defeated Glenwood in football. The last time the Rams defeated Harlan was when the Rams went to the playoffs in the 90's. The Rams defeated the Cyclones on the road that season. Fast forward twenty some years and the Rams are looking to knock off Harlan for only the second time in their school history.

Former Ram Quarterback Corey Bertini played in his second game for Mo. Western State this past weekend. Bertini was two for two in the air with his longest being a thirty yard completion. Corey also rushed for fifteen yards on three carries. One of Bertini's carries went for a touchdown from twelve yards out that capped off a four play twenty nine yard drive. Mo. Western St. is now 2-0 on the season after defeating Missouri Southern 51-14.

Congrats Corey. Keep up the good work at the next level!
