Girls Soccer Wins in Shootout

Tonight the girls faced Treynor in a tough match-up. The Rams won 1-0 over Treynor in a shootout. Glenwood had a 22 shots with 14 of them on goal. Ram goal keeper Rileigh Spahn had 13 saves on the night. 

Here is Coach Amy Benson's recap on the win!

"The game was back and forth the entire time.  When we were able to play our game of possession is when we were most successful.  Both teams had opportunities at goal.  Scoreless after 2 overtimes, we went into a shootout."

Girls Soccer Falls to Sioux City

Glenwood girls soccer was defeated by Sioux City on Saturday. Rileigh Spahn had 26 saves on the aafternoon. 

Coach Benson's recap of the game-

"We played defense most of the first half trying to prevent #7 Elyse Huber from scoring since she is their leading goal scorer and a Division 1 recruit to UNL.  We played solid defense and were able to prevent her from scoring until 5 seconds left in the first half.  We got tired right at the end of the first half and that was all she needed to find an opening in our defense."

 

Boys Soccer Defeats Harlan

Last night at the Creighton Bluejays' soccer field the Rams defeated the Harlan Cyclones 1-0. Kaleb Gammon scored the only goal on the night. Josh Radcliff gave the assist. Senior Connor Weis had another shut out and have 5 saves in goal.

Girls Soccer Defeats Harlan

Last night the girls soccer team faced the Harlan Cyclones at Creighton's soccer field. The girls defeated Harlan 4-0. The Rams had 15 shots on goal and Rileigh Spahn had a shut out in goal.

31:25 Mia McCorkle received a pass from Natalie Shearer on the six and scored, assist Natalie Shearer
40:45 Natalie Shearer scored off a rebound, assist Nikki Schuppan

Ram Soccer Shuts Out the Titans

Last night the Rams hosted Lewis Central in a soccer match. Glenwood's defense and goalie Connor Weis had their second shut out on the season by winning 3-0. Ben Frazee scored the first goal for the Rams in the 30th minute. Two goals in the second half helped clinch the win for the Rams. Conrad Millar scored one in the 74th minute and Kaleb Gammon scored the other in the 75th minute. Congrats boys! Keep it up and GO RAMS!

Frazee's Hat Trick Helps Rams Beat TJ

Last night the Ram soccer team faced Thomas Jefferson. Glenwood would win the match 6-0 against the Yellow Jackets. Ben Frazee was the star of the game by scoring three goals. Andy Staiert, Conrad Millar, and Fernando Gonzalez also scored goals for the Rams. Goalie Connor Weis was great in goal all night.
