Titans/Rams Win Melissa Fender Memorial

Saturday the Lewis Central swim team won their Melissa Fender Memorial. The meet is in memory of Glenwood Ram graduate Melissa Fender.

Last weekend the Rams finished fourth overall in their swim meet with Lewis Central. Below are the results of Ram Swimmers on the Titan/Ram team.

 

13th place - 200 Medley 2:09.61 (Allee Rounds & Isabella Milone)

16th place - 100 Freestyle 1:05.93 (Allee Rounds)

15th place - 500 Freestyle 6:13.75 (Isabella Milone)

15th place - 200 Freestyle 2:00.55 (Allee Rounds)

Rams Swim Personal Best Times as Lewis Central Finished Third

Titan/Ram Swimming finished third this weekend out of the nine teams who participated. The swim meet was the Tiger Tankers Invitational in West Des Moines Valley.

Glenwood and Lewis Central team up for swimming and on Saturday the Titan/Rams won. Glenwood had swimmers in six relay events and the results are below. Way to go Glenwood!

4th Place with a time of 2:39.94 (Breanna Epperson and Vivian Payne)

Mason Parks Reaction After Qualifying

Congratulations to Glenwood Senior Seth Jones and Sophomore Mason Parks on qualifying for the 2017 Iowa High School State Swim Meet! Jones who will swim at the University of South Dakota next year qualified for the 200 Free, 500 Free and 400 Free Relay. Parks qualified for the 100 Free and the 400 Free Relay.

Jones and Parks Swim Great Help Defeat Ralston

Coach Bruce schomburg's comments after the meet-"3 Glenwood swimmers lead Lewis Central to a swmming victory last night over the Ralston, Nebraska Rams.92-75.  Senior Seth Jones won the 200IM and the 500yd Free, Sophomore Mason Parks won the 100 Free.  Mason and Seth were on both winning Free Relays and Junior Devin Geeser joined them on the win in the  200 Free Relays."
