Proud of these girlies tonight. We worked to fix stuff after an LC win and we did!! They love this sport and we just keep improving. The Atlantic coach said that our A, B and C were the toughest teams they have faced and Glenwood had some of the best sportsmanship. It isn't always about winning, it's about teamwork and pride.

Last night, the 7th graders played their 3rd match of the week.  The A & B teams won their second match and the C team lost a close one. The A team was led by Abby H and Madison C on the service line.  Madison C went 12 for 12 w/8 aces.  Abby H went 13 for 14 w/5 aces.  Madison B also had a great night serving but really shined in serve receive.  The girls won 25-15, 25-12, & 15-8. The B team won 25-13, 25-10, and 15-3.  Lacee M was fantastic on the service line.  She went 29 for 30 w/6 aces.  Sara L also stepped up her game with passing and finished with 3 aces.

Glenwood 7th Grade Volleyball Defeats Lewis Central

The 7th grade volleyball team bounced back from Monday's losses to win 8 out of 9 sets.  The A team won the first set 25-16, and dominated the next two sets 25-5 and 25-5.  In the second game Kennedy J. served 14 in a row and finished the night 17 for 19 with 9 aces.  Abby H. also did an amazing job on the service line going 15-15.  Madison C. and Lauren R. had many great sets which led Brynlee A. to have 12 kills.

JV Volleyball Wins Third Straight Championship

Last night the Glenwood JV Volleyball team traveled to Treynor for the Cardinal Invite. The Rams won the tournament making the Cardinal Invite one of three straight tournament wins on the season.

Pool Play

Glenwood defeated East Mills 21-12, 21-10

Glenwood defeated Treynor 21-17, 24-22

 

Semi- Finals

Glenwood defeated Sidney 21-7, 21-16

Defeated Red Oak

 

The girls are now 15-1 overall and 30-2 in set play. Keep up the hard work girls!

 

 

Rams Pick Up Huge Road Win

Last night the Rams picked up a huge win by defeating Shenandoah on the road. The Rams defeated the Fillies 3-1 which brings their conference record to 2-1. After dropping the first set, the Rams rallied off three straight set wins. Sierra Stouder had another great performance. Stouder recorded twelve kills, seven digs, and was 15-16 on serves. Abbi Decker was second in kills with ten while Paige Hays was third with seven. Sophomore Cera Gray lead the team in assists with twenty eight. The Rams are now 7-10 on the season and will travel to Denison next Tuesday.

Ram Volleyball Results from Trojan Tournament

Saturday the Rams traveled to Atlantic for the Trojan Tournament. St. Albert was crowned champions after going 5-0 and defeating Atlantic, Winterset, Glenwood, Treynor, and Underwood. The Rams finished the tournament with a record of 2-3.  The Rams are now 6-10 overall and 1-1 in the conference.

Tigers Take Down Ram Volleyball

Last night the Ram volleyball team hosted the Red Oak Tigers. Red Oak was red hot from the start and never cooled off. The Tigers would defeat the Rams in straight sets 0-3. The set scores were 13-25, 11-25, and 10-25. Red Oak Tiger Sierra Athen was the player of the match recording nine kills, seventeen digs, and three blocks. Glenwood's Sierra Stouder was awarded the Glenwood State Bank player of the game with four kills, six digs, and 4/5 on serves. The Rams now 4-7 will head to Atlantic this Saturday for the Trojan Tournament.
